Do you profess to be “saved” and yet act out of SELFISH AMBITION? That is you care only for yourself; you’re concerned primarily with your own interests regardless of others? Does the world have to revolve around you? Do you put your interest before others? Do you have a strong desire to achieve something for you regardless of what your spouse or children think? Not sure, ask those closest to you; your spouse, children or friends. Ask them if they think you are selfish.
WATCH OUT! The Bible says that the works of the flesh are evident, that includes SELFISH AMBITION!
The Bible says: “…of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who *practice* such things (*SELFISH AMBITION*) will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (See Galatians 5:19-21 NKJV)
If you are still behaving with SELFISH AMBITION, then the question is raised? Is the Holy Spirit truly inside of you? Are you really a follower of Jesus? “Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.” (2 Corinthians 13:5 NLT)
